Season 14, Episode 02 – “Comics”
The candidates are challenged to create a brand-new comic aimed at children, before pitching their ideas to leading industry figures to secure orders. The task balances creative flair with productive pitching and the team that forgets either could face a graphic showdown in the boardroom. On the story teams, while one PM takes an assertive lead, the other’s sub team leader seems to lose the plot. When creating their Augmented Reality front covers, the girls run riot, while the boys team struggles to make a move.
Save the Date – Gary, Rome and Eddie discover that Jon really thought of everything before his passing by planning a surprise outing for Gary’s birthday at a Bruins Fantasy Camp. However, when a grave secret is exposed, Gary’s special day takes a turn for the worse as it creates conflict for everyone in the group.
Thirty Percent Sleight of Hand – Chief Boden becomes increasingly skeptical of Assistant Deputy Commissioner Gorsch’s motives, while Severide gets wrapped up in a difficult situation following the rescue of a child from a car wreck. Trying to fit in with the rest of the firehouse, Foster is tasked with doling out some personal advice to Cruz.
Pilot – Spencer James is a rising high school football player and an A student at South Crenshaw High who is recruited by Beverly High School’s football coach Billy Baker. Spencer is conflicted on whether or not to move to Beverly High but Spencer’s mother, Grace, and his best friend, Coop, convince Spencer it’s an opportunity he has to seize. When Spencer is forced to move in with Billy and his family, these two families and their vastly different worlds are drawn together. They will discover that the differences that divide us on the surface hide a deeper connection – the complicated, imperfect humanity that unites us all.
